A brave diver gets up close to a huge anaconda snake resting on a riverbank after gobbling up its latest prey. Wearing just a wetsuit, snake enthusiast Franco Banfi, 53, ventured near enough to touch the scary 26 foot (8 meters) beast as it lay in the sun in the Mato Grosso do Sol in Brazil.

Reticulated python Medusa, owned by Full Moon Productions, a haunted house attraction in Kansas City, Missouri, has been named the longest snake ever to live in captivity. The 25-foot long Medusa is in the "Guinness World Records 2013 Edition.
