 She may be only 22, but Taylor Swift has already been dubbed the "Heartbreak Kid" for her string of high-profile romances. Her latest rumored romance, with One Direction's Harry Styles, has already inspired the Twitter hastag #Haylor, after Swift and Styles, 18, were spotted Sunday strolling through Central Park in New York City. Last night, they were spotted holding hands while arriving at her Manhattan hotel at 4 a.m.

Rumors first sparked in March, when the pair met at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards. The rumors heated up again after the pair crossed paths at an "X Factor" taping in Los Angeles last month and co-host Mario Lopez blabbed that he saw Styles and Swift "walking off hand in hand" backstage. "[They're] officially hanging out, I can say that much," he told his radio show listeners.


Swift recently told Rolling Stone magazine that when it comes to love, she doesn't hold back. "The way I look at love is you have to follow it, and fall hard, if you fall hard. You have to forget about what everyone else thinks. It has to be an us-against-the-world mentality. You have to make it work by prioritizing it, and by falling in love really fast, without thinking too hard. If I think too hard about a relationship I'll talk myself out of it. ... I have rules for a lot of areas of my life. Love is not going to be one of them," she told the magazine for an interview in the November issue.

Their age difference generated headlines with reports that Swift "kidnapped" Kennedy after flying him from his Massachusetts boarding school to Nashville on her private jet. Swift told Rolling Stone, "You can't kidnap a grown man!" Though Swift and Conor reportedly split in October, Swift has remained close to the Kennedy family, including Conor's grandmother Ethel Kennedy, who called her "sensational inside and out."

Swift briefly dated actor Jake Gyllenhaal in 2010. Though the couple tried hard to keep their relationship a secret, they were caught together several times by the paparazzi, before the relationship appeared to fizzle around Christmas that year. It's believed that Swift's current hit, "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," is about Gyllenhaal.

Swift dated her "Valentine's Day" movie co-star Taylor Lautner from October to December 2009. They split soon after his 19th birthday party because, according to an Us Weekly source, "he liked her more than she liked him."
But Swift seemed to be expressing some regrets in her song, "Back to December," in which she sings, "I miss your tan skin, your sweet smile" and "It turns out freedom ain't nothing but missing you," and "Wishing I'd realized what I had when you were mine."

Their 13-year age difference did not stop Swift and John Mayer from briefly dating in 2009. They even recorded the duet "Half of My Heart" for his album. But post breakup, Swift released the 2010 song "Dear John," believed to be about the serial dater, who is now linked to Katy Perry.
Mayer told Rolling Stone in June 2012 that he was "humiliated" by the song and "I never did anything to deserve that. It was a really lousy thing for her to do." But Swift told ABC's Cynthia McFadden in October that it was "presumptuous" for Mayer to think the song was about him. "I never disclose who my songs are about," Swift said.

Taylor Swift began dating the Jonas Brothers' Joe Jonas in summer 2008. Jonas, now 23, ended the relationship a few months later with a phone call. Swift told Ellen DeGerneres, "I'm not even going to remember the boy who broke up with me over the phone in 25 seconds when I was 18. ... I looked at the call log -- it was like 27 seconds. That's got to be a record."

Afterward, Swift penned the song "Forever and Always" about a "scared little boy." The song is believed to be about Jonas, who recently told Washington, D.C., radio station 94.7 Fresh FM that Swift's "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" is definitely not about him.
"I don't think we've ever tried [to get back together] another time, so I can tell you it's not about me," he told the station in August. "That said, I think the song is great. Taylor does pop music really well and I'm happy for her."

That may explain the men she's attracted, from John Mayer, 13 years her senior, to Conor Kennedy, four years her junior. "I just try to let love surprise me because you never know who you're going to fall in love with. You never know who's going to come into your life -- and for me, when I picture the person I want to end up with, I don't think about what their career is, or what they look like. I picture the feeling I get when I'm with them," she told the June InStyle. Be warned, Styles: Swift's breakups often become fodder for her music.
