BAD BLOOD: JIMOH IBRAHIM DRAGS PDP TO COURT OVER ONDO GUBER PARTY PRIMARY

CEO of Group Managing Director of Global Fleets and a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant in Ondo State, Jimoh Ibrahim, has dragged the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led caretaker committee of the party to court, challenging Monday's conduct of the primary for the party’s governorship candidate for the November 26 election in the state, reports dailytrust.Hearing in the matter was stalled on Monday after counsel to Ibrahim, Oyodele Oyelana, told the court that he could not effect service of the court papers on the defendants.  He therefore applied for adjournment, but defense counsel, Ifedayo Adedipe (SAN), asked the judge to adjourn the case till after the vacation because the non-service of the papers had shown lack of urgency in the matter. Recall, the Makarfi-led caretaker committee held the Ondo State governorship election primary on Monday, where Eyitayo Jegede emerged the PDP candidate for the governorship election. He polled 760 votes to defeat Saka Lawal with 22 votes.
