The Bayelsa State Governor, Henry Seriake Dickson has refuted a story written by Sahara Reporters yesterday Friday, Stating that, Security operatives quietly stormed the residence of Bayelsa Government House Accountant, Mr Richard Etonye concerning a stolen $4.6Milllion given to Etonye for safe keeping by himself as untrue, malicious, cheap politics practiced by unscrupulous politrickcians. Gov Dickson in a statement today Saturday said, ''My dear Bayelsans, there is no truth in the news making the round that the Accountant of the Government House Yenagoa, Mr Richard Etonye absconded with $4.6m belonging to me. As I speak, Mr Richard Etonye is with me on State assignment.This is yet another example of the cheap, backward and malicious brand of politics being practiced by Sahara Reporters and certain people who call themselves politicians. Elections have been won and lost both at the polls and tribunal. It is time to move forward and build our dear state. I urge us all therefore to remain focused and dedicated to the pursuit of creating a safe, prosperous and glorious Bayelsa.'' Recall Sahara Reporters yesterday Friday posted a story on its website stating, Bayelsa State Government House Absconds with $4.6 Million given to him by the Governor and that security operatives had quietly searched his house, while he Etonye is on the run.
