DOG BLUES: OWNER OF PET NAMED BUHARI RELEASED AFTER SERKIN INTERVENS

Few days ago, a hilariously mild drama involving Nigerian man, Mr Chinakwe went viral following his arrest by men of Ogun State Police Command for naming his pet dog Buhari (same name as Nigeria's President) after one of his neighbours reported him to the authorities, has been released unconditionally following the intervention of both the Serkin Hausa and the president-general of non-indigenes in the state.Following his release, a visibly angry Mr Chinakwe said he was particularly offended because the person who reported him was not a Nigerian but from Niger Republic. However, police sources said both the complainant and suspect were made to sign an undertaking not to cause any breach of peace again. Mr Chinakwe, a father of two from the Niger Delta, who trades in second hand clothing lamented that he was made to suffer for no just cause.
