Ex-Super Eagles captain, Joseph Yobo, has officially joined Kano Pillars as one of the players after he snubbed offers from other NPFL clubs like FC Ifeanyi Ubah, Akwa United and Wikki Tourists of Bauchi to sign the dotted lines for the former League champions.The 35-year-old player signed a deal with the League Management Company, organisers of the Nigeria Professional Football League, which will see the defender star for a domestic league club as a means of promoting and adding value to the league by attracting more spectators to the various league match venues.The former Fenerbahce of Turkey star made 101 international appearances for the Super Eagles, making him the highest capped Nigerian player so far in history.The Chairman of the League Management Company, Mallam Shehu Dikko, revealed that Kano Pillars have become the preferred destination of the defender.Yobo is likely to debut for Pillars in their next home game. Pillars are currently on sixth position in the league table with 45 points from 30 matches. Congrats to him.
