MATTERS ARISING:RIVERS APC SECRETARIAT ABANDONED,OVERGROWN WITH WEEDS AS STAFFS LAMENT HARDSHIP

The All Progressives Congress, APC is speedily loosing its flavor in Rivers state, as investigative report reveal the party state Secretariat located at the highbrow area of Port Harcourt, #43 Forces Avenue, Old GRA currently stands abandoned, overgrown with weeds, due to internal wrangling in the party. The building clearly not befitting of a party whose leader is the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, a major founder of the APC, a Director-General of the Nigerian Maritime and Safety Agency, NIMASA, Dakuku Peterside and the Acting CEO and Managing Director of the Niger-Delta Development Commission, NDD, Ibim Semenitari, whom are leaders of the party and currently holding prestigious positions.One of the staff members (names withheld) told this newspaper that they are being owed as much as ten months salary. According to dailypost, He said, “As I am talking to you now, our Chairman (Davies Ikeanya) has relocated to Lagos. Our party Secretary is in Abuja. Our Vice Chairman has gone back to face his business.We have not been paid for the past ten months and nobody is telling us anything.
