Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump are in a virtual tie in a national poll released today Thursday. The CBS News/New York Times National poll showed that the Democratic nominee is just 2 points ahead of Trump in a two-way matchup (46%-44%.) That difference is within the margin of error. Trump leads with men, 50%-39%, while Clinton leads with women, 52%-39%.Trump also leads Clinton with white voters, 51%-40%.And despite recent efforts to increase support from African Americans from Trump, Clinton had a massive lead with black voters: 89% to Trump’s 6%.Clinton has a larger margin with registered voters when likelihood of voting is not taken into account, she has 46%, Trump has 41%.
