Dubai-based Nigerian journalist, Ahmed Salkida, who was taken into custody by operatives of the Department of State Security (DSS) as he arrived from the UAE at Abuja airport, weeks after being declared wanted by the Nigerian Army over his ties with Boko Haram, and was reportedly denied access to his lawyer, Femi Falana, yesterday, has been finally released. Reports state that Ahmed Salkida was very cooperative throughout the time he was in the detention custody of the DSS, adding that Salkida had informed the DSS in advance that he planned to return to Nigeria after the Nigerian Army declared him wanted.
